I stained my screened in deck with a product from Ace since it was such a large space. My husband insists on having a rug on the back porch however I didn’t want to put a rug back on because we have 5 rescued (formerly feral) cats that call our porch “home”. With outdoor cats- there are fleas and sand.
So I decided to use my HTP paints and create a “rug”. Hubby said no… but I just pretend he agreed. So I taped off the size and placement. I prepped with surface prep and just started painting with no real plan. I chose 3 colors to start: Crete, Manor House & Regal! I loved it but decided it looked to Christmasy so I started taping to add designs in random colors!
So I threw in butterscotch, polo, cobblestone, bone, color club minty color, & sunrise. By the way, my husband loves it!! No more fleas on the porch!

Faux Rug on my porch- as you can see it’s not a cabinet for the paint contest but it brings me joy every time I sit on my porch! It’s worthy to be considered 😄
