Bathroom Transformation with IKEA Dresser

This was our very last project before we sold our home of 13 years. This home had so much space but so much of it was wasted - with no dedicated linen storage anywhere in the house.

We took this awkward open space between our vanities + $30 IKEA Hemnes dresser off FB marketplace + a little router work, trim, and caulk + HTP paint in Oyster = custom built-in cabinetry!

The original cabinets were painted a different shade of grey a few years ago but everything got a refresh with Oyster using simply a brush and roll technique. The original cabinets only needed two coats and the Hemnes dresser and its trim pieces took three. We did briefly remove the doors and drawers just to trim around them but reinstalled them so they could dry in place.

Of all the upgrades and projects we’ve done over the last decade this is my absolute favorite! I love how Oyster complements the new LVP flooring and the silver knobs (from Amazon) give it just a touch of glam!
