40 year old used bedroom furniture

My bedroom furniture from my very first apartment around 1979. I purchased this furniture from a furniture rental company. It was still in great shape but the color was yellowing. I decided to update it. I happen to find HTP paint online in 2019. I figured I would try it and I could always paint with regular paint over it if I did not like it. I decided on the color Abbey. At that time I had not seen videos of how to prepare the furniture so I used 409 to clean it. I did not know about stippling either. The top was formica and I did not know if it would hold but I painted it anyway. This is when I fell in love with the paint, it went on so smooth and self leveled like Paula said. To this day the paint has not chipped. I am hooked and always trying to find things to paint.
