My 1st HTP project

This was my first HTP project, but it didn’t start that way. I posted a picture of this dresser that I had bought in a FB group asking for suggestions on redoing it, and that it would be my first piece. I received so much hate from people who thought I would ruin it and that I should leave as it as to not devalue an antique. The other 2 suggestions I received was chalk paint and HTP. I was impatient and didn’t want to wait for paint to arrive (and it was pricier) so I went with chalk paint. It didn’t take long for me to realize the mistake I had made. I sanded, shellacked, painted multiple coats and was having so much bleed through. I wanted to cry and was so discouraged as this process was taking way longer than I had expected. I bit the bullet and bought HTP with the Deglosser, brushes and roller. I watched all the videos and followed them to a T. I used the brush and roller method and it was 2 coats and it turned out beautiful. My only regret is that I didn’t by the HTP first! I just finished my 3rd HTP project. It is well worth the money and I will never use another paint for my home projects????
