When we moved in there was a runner going down the steps. It was old and faded. We ripped it up and realized the old owners only stained the outside part of the steps! So we painted the risers, steps and for the cherry on top, the rail! The rail was wrought iron and the paint went on beautifully and smooth! Such a drastic good change to our house!
