Well finally finished my linoleum floor in my 1989 mobile home.....my hopefully last project in my kitchen. The floor was so yellow from age but in really great shape. First, I used the HTP surface prep and scrubbed the floor and wiped with clean dry towel, Then, I used a 50/50 mix of Colosseum and water to make a white wash, as I wanted to be able to get rid of the yellowing and still see the faux grey grout lines in the flooring as it was exactly the size of my stencil. Then, I used Cathedral(same color as my lower cabinets)and my customized stencil that my nephew made (his company: Cedar Falls Laser Engraving) The HTP foam roller worked perfect for this - Roll most of paint off onto paper towels before applying on stencil. I used a stencil spray (Amazon) to hold stencil in place. I waited 48 hours before I applied the HTP water resistant sealer. Then, I applied 3 thin coats, 3 hours apart - I used HTP new Deglosser / Stain Syntec Brush, 2" and used a high-density foam roller to roll out the water resistant sealer (I find the sealer doesn't collect the high density foam roller and finish is smoother) and I waited 3 days before stepping on and placing kitchen mats back in place. Saved so much money and it looks like new. Love this paint!

Aged and Yellowed linoleum floor

2_1

Applied a 50/50 white wash of the color Colosseum and water. I wanted to cover the yellowing of the floor and yet keep the grey grout lines showing for the stencil

3_1

Used my customized stencil and the paint color Cathedral (same color as my lower kitchen cabinets) and used the HTP foam roller. I used a stencil spray adhesive and I rolled off most of the paint onto paper towels and rolled onto stencil.

4_1

I waited 48 hours and used the new HTP 2 inch flat brush to apply water resistant sealer

5_1

I used the brush and roll method when painting on the water resistant sealer and used a high-density foam roller. I find that the sealer doesn't collect in the pores and gives me a smoother finish. 3 coats of water resistant sealer 3 hours apart.

After 3rd coat of water resistant sealer.

After 3 days and able to step on flooring
