Painting a fridge

I’m new to the community and excited to be here! In the grand scheme of renovating our antique Saltbox, it makes sense to keep our old side-by-side. Its white with a pebble finish, and is starting to rust. hoping to paint the refrigerator in my kitchen either Polo or Mediterranean (deciding between the two for a refresh of the currently hideous circa-1981 cabinets), and hoping y’all can help with some pearls of wisdom for any special prep I should do first, and any experience with this type of project.
