My neighbor was getting rid of this chair and I was excited to try painting fabric. The first coat soaked up paint and still felt like the fabric but the second and third coat made it feel like leather! I did degloss just to get some of the dirt off. After about 6 hours of dry time (mainly because I had another project but also because it was fabric) I started painting. I brushed on with the syntec brush. After the first and second coats dried I used a clean green scrub sponge to loosen the material and smooth out any rough spots. My son has been using it for a couple weeks and it still looks and feels the same! No chipping or cracking.
