Last year we changed our house color from a tan to Behr Grey Hound, Taking a boring fawn/tan ranch and make it pop a bit. So After many months of working with the painting process and waiting for the new front door to come in and the new roof to go on we were so happy....and then i saw the video to make the garage doors look like wood. But it was winter time in Wisconsin yet and i had to wait. But i placed my first order and waited patiently for it to warm up. And here is our finished project. We did a second coat( a few days later) of what we called a dry brush to get a darker look because our front door is Dark Walnut and that completed the look. The first coat was a little bit too washed out for our taste as we followed Paula's video exactly. I think you have to do your own thing to make it work once you figure out how to work with the gel stain. Definitely don't work with the product on a hot day. We waited for a 75 degree day and set up a pop up tent to keep the sun off. We have had so many compliments and are just so happy with how it turned out.
