What color for the fireplace ?

Hey guys I’m working on my house and upgrading a few things. Here’s my current project. Redoing my office . Last year at the end of the season my gas ratio got off hence the soot. Fixed now. My question is what color would you paint the fireplace mantel and around it. I don’t mean nd going all the way to the ceiling. Walls will be same color they are now. What will maje this area pop .
