Stain

I applied tobacco stain on my hutch , but I’m waiting on the gray mist , has anyone tried applying gray mist stain stain to tobacco stain after the tobacco stain was dry? Oh, and the base on the sides , drawers , doors ( still need to hang back up) getting new hinges.. is Almond and inside color I mixed Cashmere & London
