I used an old replica of a dresser chest to make a custom kitchen island. I attached beadboard on the back and beadboard panels on the sides. I custom cut and created the top with dowels and trimmed up the entire piece then painted it all in Cashmere. The top was stained using HD special walnut and then added several coats (4) of polycrylic to the top for durability. I screwed on 4 black metal legs to give it a 38” height just above my kitchen counter height of 36”. The legs were purchased through Amazon. Lastly I added wallpaper to the back of the cabinet.
