I've always painted on real wood furniture. I believe this is particle board with that fake stick on wood looking stuff. Anyways, I noticed while painting the one side off this cabinet, anytime anything hit it, the paint would chip. I figured it's due to what it's made out of. Question now is, do I remove the fake wood and try and sand it and then paint over it? I'm not sure what to do. Some areas I have to remove it because it has already started coming off. Any help will be appreciated, thank you!!
