Front Door

I replaced my dented metal front door with beautiful mahogany double doors. I stained them myself (saving a lot) with the Walnut Gel Stain. I taped off the handle and hinges, brushed it on with a throw away brush and wiped it off with lint free rags. I was very careful to use drop cloths and kept a bottle of mineral spirits close by to wipe up any accidental drips. I lightly sanded between coats (took only about 15 minutes) and wiped down before reapplying. It took two coats. I just did it in stages, trying not to rush. I stained the inside and outside. It wasn’t a hard job at all and it turned out beautifully.
