My daughter bought a home built in the late 60s or early 70s. The cabinets were solid wood but outdated, worn out and lacked charm. We had to remove the doors and drawers to sand them due to very rough edges. We also painted and repaired the cabinet interior. To add special design, we made glass cut-outs and added battery powered/remote lights. Those lights can be changed to various colors if desired. We also updated the hinges and door pulls. The backsplash was also updated.
